After a bad Halloween season, Party City store officials says they plan to close the doors of its store in Randolph, NJ, in January, with plans to close even more stores, according to News 12 New Jersey.

I don't get it. Party City always seems packed around Halloween. It's the go-to place for costumes and party stuff. It's the first place we go, but, business is slow. The article says 34 Party City stores have already closed this year, and 20 more are expected to close by the end of the 2019 fiscal year. There are around 900 stores across the country.

I've heard the helium shortage really hurt their balloon business, although that's not confirmed. Plus, you can get really nice balloons at The Dollar Store now...I'm sure that doesn't help either.

I'm glad the Party City in Nassau Park Pavilion isn't closing. I'm there all the time, and would totally miss it if it were gone.
