The Phillies were facing the Arizona Diamondbacks on Wednesday at Chase Field. Though fans weren’t too happy about the final score (1-6), they did catch an amazing sight midway through.

Nick Ahmed of the Diamondbacks hit a foul ball into the right field stands, and a fan managed to get under it and catch it with one hand- because he was holding a baby in the other hand.

Obviously, people went crazy. A broadcaster went down to do an interview with him afterwards, in which he said that he’d played baseball in high school and college, which helps explain how he was able to make the catch (bare-handed, by the way).

John Pol, a lifelong Phillies fan, had only moved to Arizona about a week before. Certainly this is a great welcome to the state for Pol and a crazy story for the baby to tell in a few years!
