A popular Hamilton Township yogurt shop will be closing their doors (for good) this weekend. The owners of Hamilton's Let's Yo announced the news on Facebook on Friday (October 4).

"It's with a heavy heart I have to post that the Hamilton Lets Yo! Yogurt is going to be closing its doors. Our final day of operation will be this Sunday, October 6th," they wrote on Facebook.

The owners were very transparent about the decision to close the business. They blamed some of the economic hardships facing business owners in the area (from taxes to increased food costs and rent increases).

"In order to keep operating the cost per ounce would have to go above 75 cents a ounce," they wrote. "That would force the average customer to spend $12-15 dollars on a regular size yogurt that’s not something ethically from a business stand point I felt ok."

The owners of Let's Yo also acknowledged a downturn in the frozen yogurt industry, but they thanked Mercer County residents for their support.

"This community kept the store alive for a lot longer than most in the industry projected and I am truly grateful for the families and residents of this community and towns surrounding the store. From the bottom of my heart and my family’s I thank everyone that supported the store," Let's Yo wrote.

The business will be open both today (Saturday, October 6) and tomorrow (Sunday, October 7). Let's Yo is located at 1295 RT-33 in Hamilton Township.
