Rat’s Restaurant in Hamilton Township Honored on OpenTable

It’s always awesome to see a local business recognized on a more global scale! New Jersey is the home of so many amazing and unique restaurants that it can be hard to keep track of them all.

Lots of people know the popular website OpenTable  and utilize it to create reservations at popular restaurants. Nobody likes being hungry and getting to a restaurant to be greeted by a line out the door. OpenTable is a great way to bypass this line.

What many people don’t know, is that OpenTable does some blogging too. Recently, they compiled a list of 100 Best Al Fresco Restaurants in America for 2019 that was voted on by their readers. The list is based on over 12,000,000 reviews of over 30,000 restaurants all over America. Out of the 100 honorees, only one of them was lucky enough to be a New Jersey location, which even happens to be in Hamilton Township!

Rat’s Restaurant at the Grounds for Sculpture in Hamilton Township was the lucky recipient! OpenTable describes it as being good for a date or special occasion, and of course, having a scenic view. This isn’t surprising, considering it’s located at Grounds for Sculpture, a popular art garden spread across 42 acres and housing more than 270 sculptures. Grounds for Sculpture is definitely a must-visit in the Trenton area, and it certainly sounds like Rat’s Restaurant is up to par.

If just hearing that the restaurant is located at the beautiful Grounds for Sculpture isn’t enough to convince you of its “scenic view”, the restaurant sits next to the water and has also features outdoor dining. On the interior, it’s got Rustic fireplaces and has an all-around charming vibe. Rat’s Restaurant is definitely on my list of must-visit restaurants now!
