After 70 years in business, Risoldi's Market & Cafe in the Clover Plaza on Quakerbridge Road in Hamilton (near the Robert Wood Johnson Fitness Center) is shutting its doors for good, this Saturday (June 29th), according to Community News.

I'm sad to see the store close. Risoldi's is one of the stores where I grocery shop. I love their meat selection, their Boars Head cold cuts, their catering, and I especially love that it's never annoyingly crowded (like some of the other area stores).

Although, not being overly crowded is just what put Risoldi's out of business.

Owner, Sam Risoldi Jr, told Community News that area competition over the last 5 years has led to his market not doing enough business. “It’s been a long run. We want to thank my family and those who patronized our store and our father’s store since 1948, as well as current and past employees.”

I guess I need to stock up before Saturday at 9 pm, which is when they'll close their doors for the last time.

Risoldi's is located at 3100 Quakerbridge Road in Clover Plaza, in the Mercerville section of Hamilton.
