Sakrid Coffee Roasters in Princeton has generously donated thousands of masks, full body protective suits, and of course, coffee to our local front line workers, according to Planet Princeton.

When the coronavirus pandemic started to affect our area, Sakrid Coffee Roasters, started helping the community by supplying our local hospitals and first responders, but, then realized they could do more after being offered some masks by their suppliers.

One of the owners, Serge Picard, said in the article, “About a month and a half ago some suppliers started offering us masks. We quickly said yes so we would have them for our employees. Then we realized we had access to PPE that could be used by medical professionals."

Their international business partners helped even further. They were able to get several thousand masks, which they donated to the Arts Council of Princeton, who was able to distribute them to high risk residents, local businesses, and the area hospitals. Amazing.

I just love to see everyone in our local communities coming together to help. I hope this doesn't end when we get back to "normal," whenever and whatever that may be.

Please help Sakrid Coffee Roasters, who have helped so many during this challenging time. They are open for no contact takeout.

Sakrid Coffee Roasters is on Nassau Street in Princeton.
