The Biggest Oscars Viewing Party is Happening in Philly

Planning to watch the Oscars but want to dress up for the occasion too? Ocean Prime in Center City is planning on throwing an Oscars watch party on February 9^th at 5pm. The watch party will be starting much earlier than the Oscars 8pm start time but will be showing what the celebrities are wearing as the go down the red carpet.

At the watch party there will be mingling, complimentary truffle popcorn and themed cocktails. You can even feel like one of the stars by purchasing a glass of Piper-Heidsieck for $25 or by the bottle for $125. The restaurant got creative with the $10 Oscar-themed cocktail names that happen to be after the best picture nominees:

The Irishman(hattan) — Woodford Reserve, Carpano, Antica Vermouth, Nonino Amaro, rosemary-grapefruit-peppercorn bitters.

Par-RYE-site — Hudson Rye "Private Barrel Selection," Cherry Heering, dry oloroso sherry, bitters.

Berries v Bubbles — Belvedere Citrus Vodka, marinated blackberries, house made sour, Domaine Chandon Brut, dry ice smoke.

Marriage Story Marg — Don Julio Blanco Tequila, St. Germain Elderflower, ruby red grapefruit, lime juice and house made grenadine.

WWI Whiskey — Gentleman Jack Whiskey, Hennessy VS, honey water, hand-squeezed lemon and orange.

In addition to the cocktails and showing, each person that attends the event will be offered a fill out card of an Oscars ballot with their predictions. Whoever wins will have the opportunity to win a $150 Ocean Prime gift card.
