To The Guy From 7-Eleven – Responding to A Missed Connection on Craigslist

To the man reaching out to the cashier from 7-Eleven who he thinks he's in love, I saw what you wrote on Craigslist and I have some advice for you.

Dear energy drink lover,

Why are you not going back to that 7-Eleven any time soon?! You have to shoot your shot! What successful love story do you know of that has ever started from a missed connection on Craigslist? The answer is none. Ever. For the rest of time. But, we do know plenty of love stories that begin by simply asking a girl out when you see her.

I mean, think about it. When your future child asks how mommy and daddy met do you really want to say, “Well honey, we met on Craigslist.”

I think not. Saying you saw her behind the register at 7-Eleven and knew she was the one sounds much, much better.

If I were you, I would go back to that 7-Eleven and just strike up a conversation with this “curvy mature blonde” that you speak of. You never know what could happen, right?!
