Less than six months since opening a location in Mt. Laurel, Topgolf is planning on opening another location in our area.

According to Philly.com, this one will be located in Northeast Philly on the site of the former Nabisco factory at Roosevelt Boulevard and Byberry Road.

Topgolf describes itself as "a sports entertainment complex that features an inclusive, high-tech golf."  Think of it as a driving range on steroids, with food & drinks similar to what you would find at a TGI Friday's or Applebees.

Topgolf has locations in 3 countries and 17 states.  Prior to opening in Mt. Laurel, the closest Topgolf was in Edison, NJ.  Philly.com says that developers are hoping that the Northeast Philly location will open in 2020.

To play at Topgolf, all players must purchase a $5 lifetime membership (or a premium membership).  After that, up to 6 players can rent a bay where they can play and eat & drink.  Bay rentals vary by location.  At the Mt. Laurel location, prices are $30/hour up until noon, $40/hour from 12-5pm, and $50/hour from 5pm-close.

When Philly.com asked Topgolf to comment on the report about the Northeast Philly location, a spokesperson for the company would only say that they were “working to bring another venue to greater Philadelphia."
