Visit a NJ National Park for Free Today on MLK JR. Day
Have the day off today? Looking for something fun and, even better, free to do? Grab your family or friends and head out to visit a National Park. Did you know you can visit a National Park for free today in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day? Yup. It's just one of the free admission days in 2020, there are 5 in total, according to Jersey Family Fun.
This is great. The Park Service is saving you from paying the entrance fee at 110 National Parks around the country. You better get moving, because there are 6 National Parks right here in New Jersey. Did you even know that? I hate to admit it, but, I had no idea.
The 6 National Parks in New Jersey are:
Gateway National Recreation Area
Thomas Edison Historical Park (I think I went there on a school trip in elementary school).
Morristown National Historical Park
The other free admission days in 2020, according to the National Park Service are:
April 18th - First day of National Park Week.
August 25th - National Park Service birthday.
September 26th - National Public Lands Day
November 11th - Veterans Day
Enjoy.
