A dog owner in Philadelphia captured a scary moment on her phone while playing with her dog at Overbrook Park in Philadelphia.

According to dailymail.co.uk, Natalaya Hines and her small dog, Sugar Foot, were enjoying a day at the park when a hawk swooped down and nearly snatched the pup.

Daily Mail says that when you look closely at the video, you can see the hawk with it's "talons out, focusing solely on the pup."  For whatever reason, the bird decided against trying to grab Sugar Foot.

Earlier this year, a TV station in Nevada (abc11.com) posted a similar story of a Yorkie almost being grabbed by a bird-of-prey.

A website called hawksaloft.org recommends that owners always supervise animals under 15 pounds when they are outside.
