According to the Asbury Park Press, Cory Booker says that if he gets elected as President, he would rename the Giants and Jets, making them New Jersey teams.

I don't know if that statement will get him elected, especially since some people are diehard Jets and Giants fans and like that the teams are New York teams.

Senator Booker feels that since teams like the Brooklyn Nets, (who used to be the New Jersey Nets) turned into a New York team, he wants to make the Jets and Giants New Jersey teams. I mean, they do both play at Metlife stadium which is located right here in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Many people have argued for years that both teams should be named New Jersey teams, but now, it may actually become a reality.

Like I said earlier, I don't know if this is something diehard fans would want, but being that Cory Booker was mayor of the city of Newark from 2006 to 2013, it makes sense that he wants to give New Jersey more sports teams.
