A new sweet shop will be opening in Hamilton Township this summer, according to Facebook.

It's called KK Sweets, and it will be opening in the strip shopping center on Quakerbridge Road, near Sloan Avenue (next to the gas station on the corner of Sloan Ave. and Quakerbridge Road). I first heard about KK Sweets when it was recommended in a Facebook group that I'm in. So, I searched for it, liked it, and learned that the opening of this bakery is a dream come true for the owner.

Local pastry chef, Kelsey Krieg, is the owner. She currently works at Kristine’s in Princeton after graduating from The Culinary Institute of America. She started this new business a few months ago. Right now, before her new shop is ready to go, you can order her goodies (she says she can make anything) online. Check out a few of her amazing cakes here. I've noticed people putting in cupcake orders online too. You can place your orders here. Krieg will be specializing in classic French pastry, which isn't found many places around here. One of her posts says she is excited to introduce the area to this kind of dessert.

Keep an eye out for this new, fun business to open. I'm rooting for her. I love small, local businesses like this. She seems so excited to make her dreams come true. "For those who know me, know that this has been a long time coming and has been a dream of mine. I’m so excited for this new journey," Krieg said.

KK Sweets will be located at 3257 Quakerbridge Road in Hamilton Township.

I can't wait to check it out. Good luck, Kelsey.
