After Several Years, Heztel Pool is Finally Open!

Hetzel Pool is back open and ready to be swam in!! If you want to go for a last minute swim before the summer ends, the newly renovated pool is officially open after being closed for several years.

Thanks to former Mayor Douglas H. Palmer, this 1.2 Million dollar project was just completed! The city had a soft opening the other day in which current Trenton Mayor Gusciora attended. He even took a leap into the water fully clothed to celebrate!

Hetzel Pool will open from 1 p.m. and close at 8 p.m. throughout the week. Maria Richardson, director of Recreation, Culture and Natural Resources said the pool could potentially stay open for weekends beyond early September when city pools close.

There is no doubt that this is a great day for the kids and for the city of Trenton. So make sure you and your family find the time to head on over to Heztel Pool before it closes!
