Amazon Giving Away Gift Cards for Donating Blood to Red Cross

The American Red Cross will be having an emergency blood drive in Lawrenceville on Thursday, August 8th, according to The Patch. Their supply is currently very low on most types, especially O type, and they need to replenish quickly.

They'll be at Fortis Institute (2572 Brunswick Pike, near Auto Lenders) from 9am - 2pm. If you can't make it that day, don't worry, you can still donate at your convenience. Although, this may motivate you to do it sooner rather than later...anyone donating blood between July 29th and August 29th (2019) will get a thank you gift, by email, from Amazon...a $5 Amazon gift card. That's cool.

I didn't realize this, but, blood donations are used every two seconds "to help accident and burn victims, heart surgery and organ transplant patients, and those receiving treatment for leukemia, cancer or sickle cell disease," according to the American Red Cross.
