Just months after Distrito and Catelli Duo closed, another restaurant has left the Moorestown Mall.  According to courierpostonline, Pei Wei closed on July 29th.  A sign on the door asked customers to visit their Cherry Hill location.

It's hard to believe, but Pei Wei had been at the Moorestown Mall for 10 years.  I was originally drawn to it because it was advertised as a sort of "fast food" from the same company that owned P.F. Chang's.  In fact, on the restaurant chain's website, it says "Pei Wei’s story begins with the culinary experts at P.F. Chang’s envisioning a restaurant that served authentic, Asian-inspired dishes without compromising freshness for speed of service. Their dream was realized in the summer of 2000, when the first Pei Wei opened its doors."

In addition to the Cherry Hill location, there is also a Pei Wei located on Route 1 in Princeton.

Restaurants in and around Moorestown Mall have been hit or miss.  While Yard House, Harvest Season Grill & Wine Bar, and Chipotle seem to do well, others like Potbelly Sandwich Works, Corner Bakery, Noodles & Co., and Osteria have come and gone.

What would you like to see go into the location vacated by Pei Wei?
