Lambertville, New Jersey was just named the Garden State's best winter destination.

Yeah, Reader's Digest just named Lambertville the "best winter destination" in New Jersey. A lot of central New Jerseyans would agree that this is a great summer destination, but now they can look at from a different perspective.

The city of Lambertville, NJ is a small city that sits on the Delaware River with a population of about 4,000 people.

Here's what the magazine highlighted about the city that made it stand out above others and given the title of the "best winter destination" in the state:

  • It's a quaint village town that offers antiquing, dining, art galleries, historic buildings, and country inns.
  • In late January, visitors can also enjoy the Lambertville-New Hope Winter Festival, put on with its Pennsylvanian sister city across the river. It features live music, great food, chili, and other events. This year's event just wrapped up on Sunday.
