For years, one of America’s favorite pastimes has been basketball and recently the Paint the Park program has touched down in Philly.

CBS Philly reported that Paint the Park program, initiated by the brand AND1, seeks to create better spaces to refurbish parks and basketball courts in order to give the youth safe, creative spaces to enjoy and express themselves, while also appreciating the sport of basketball.

The Sixers-inspired mural was painted on the basketball court at the James Allen Shuler playground in North Philadelphia.

The local painter Dawud Morris told CBS News, “It was a five, six daylong process and I was here sun up to sun down with it from start to finish," What makes it a lot better is that Morris is actually from the same community where the mural was created.

CBS3 mentioned that And-1 Paint the Park has being going to many places and the City of Brotherly Love is the latest stop that they have done.
