BREAKING: Doylestown Neighborhood on Lockdown Following Thursday Afternoon Shooting

Residents in the area of Belmont Square in Doylestown are being advised to remain in their homes. This is in the area of East and Court streets, according to a report from The Intelligencer. 

Officials say there is ongoing police activity in the area at this time, but they note that the situation is contained, but they’re still asking residents to avoid the area.

A lockdown procedure was put into place at the nearby Linden Elementary School around 4:05 pm, which is after most students had been dismissed, but it did affect some after school activities.

Police officers on the scene advised that there is not a suspect on the loose. Footage shared via twitter from reporters with The Intelligencer show a large police presence in the area.
