A married couple was rescued from their sailboat 65 miles off of the Atlantic City Coast on Wednesday. They had been travelling from South Carolina to New York City when their boat was flipped over by the wind.

Heidi Snyder and Peter Bailey were afraid of getting hypothermia from the cold water, but Heidi says that their survival instinct kicked in long enough for Coast Guard rescuers to arrive. Because of the weather conditions, it was a difficult rescue mission, but they succeeded.

The couple was treated at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, were the hospital provided them with clothes and a Tracfone, and even bought them a hotel room to stay in for the night.

They lost all of their possessions that were on the boat, but luckily neither of them were injured, and they are on their way to stay with family in New York.
