Dressbarn, a women's clothing store that's been in business for over 50 years, is going out of business, closing it's over 650 stores.

USA Today said that they will begin a "wind down" of it's operations, with the stores "eventually" closing. An exact closing date has not been revealed yet. So, stores are still open, and the website is still up for now. I'd be on the lookout for sales, if I were you. I didn't shop there much, but, did get a few dresses there in the past few years, including my dress for Tiffany's Bridal Shower.

The company released a statement saying, "For more than 50 years, Dressbarn has served women's fashion needs, and we thank all of our dedicated associates for their commitment to Dressbarn and our valued customers. This decision was difficult, but necessary, as the Dressbarn chain has not been operating at an acceptable level of profitability in today's retail environment."

Local Dress Barn locations include East Windsor, Hamilton, and Jackson.
