Mercer County locals look forward to the 4-H Fair every year. The Mercer County 4-H Fair is celebrating its 101st year on Saturday, August 3 and Sunday, August 4, at Howell Living Farm in Howell, NJ off of scenic Route 29.

There’s a bunch of unique festivities that come together once a year during the 4-H fair. There’s going to be children’s activities, hayrides, pony rides, live music and more.

Patch.com mentioned that one of the biggest highlights is the animal tent, full of friendly animals ready to meet you on display. This is your chance to get an up close and personal experience with goats, cows, sheep and other unique animals.

Another fan-favorite aspect is the food. According to Patch.com, Mercer County local food vendors will be there ready to serve up your favorite greasy and fried fair food that you can’t get any other time of year.

The best part? Admission and parking is free! It’s suggested that you bring a non-perishable food donation that will go towards Rutgers Against Hunger.
