Is Your Town On The List Of Towns In NJ With Longest Commutes To Work?
Commuting to work is rough. Period. There always seems to be traffic or an accident while you're rushing to get to work or home. I do not miss the morning commute at all. Before I started working on the morning show here at PST I remember that my morning and afternoon commute would be a mess. What should be have been around 20 to 25 minute drive would end up being more like 40 to 60 minutes.
I do miss waking up at 7am for work, but I do not miss the early morning traffic. The perk of being on the road at 5am is that there are less cars and traffic on the road! But I think I now know why my commute was longer than normal.
It was interesting to see that this Mercer County town made it to #2 on the list of towns with the longest commutes to work. It all makes sense now because I live in Mercer County and drove through this town to get to work. I can tell you, there was always traffic! Here are the top three towns that made that list according to NJ.com:
3. Hardwick Township, Warren County -- Average commute: 44.2 minutes
2. West Windsor Township, Mercer County -- Average commute: 44.7 minutes
1. Marlboro Township, Monmouth County -- Average commute: 45.1 minutes
