Lawrenceville Main Street will be hosting a drive-in movie in June, according to Facebook. Doesn't that sounds like fun?

My family lives in Lawrenceville, so this news was super exciting. The date will be Friday night, June 26th, with proceeds benefiting Lawrenceville Main Street, a non profit organization that supports small businesses, organizes free events to build and engage the community, and maintains and beautifies the downtown footprint, according to the Executive Director, Kelly Edelstein.

So, if you're bored with staying at home, but, wish to venture out and still practice social distancing, this would be something fun to do. Not too many details are available yet, but, I was told it will be a family friendly movie, and just like the old days, you'll pay by the carload. I'll fill you in when I hear any more details.

In the meantime, the Delsea Drive-in Movie Theatre in South Jersey will be opening for the season a little late this year, with opening night being this Friday, May 22nd. You'll need to buy tickets online. Check out their Twitter for more details. I've only been to one drive-in movie in my whole life. It was the one that used to be in Warrington, PA, and I went on a first date with a guy in college. It was a cool experience.

It would be great to have drive-in movies may make a comeback with all of us needing to social distance these days. The problem would be finding enough open space to park all those cars in this area.
