Mercer Mall is Open But Route 1 Entrance is Closed

The Route 1 entrance to Mercer Mall (between Houlihans and Joe Canal's) in Lawrenceville will be closed for at least the rest of this week, due to the ongoing construction in that area, according to a post on Joe Canal's Discount Liquors Facebook page. But, if there are any delays it may be closed longer.

The stores in Mercer Mall, even those near the construction, will still be open during their regular business hours. If you're planning on shopping or dining there, you'll just need to use the mall entrance on Quakerbridge Road, or the other Route 1 entrance by the Porsche dealership.

If you haven't heard, Route 1 is being widened in that area, and while I love that idea, because it's so crowded, especially during rush hours, living through the construction is tough. Slow down, people. Even though it's a major construction zone, people are still driving so fast, causing numerous accidents. Plus, parts of the road have been torn up and patched, making it a rough ride.

But, I'll continue to keep my eye on the wider Route 1 prize. Here's hoping this construction wraps up somewhat soon.
