New Jersey has a state bird, flower, and even bug. Now it's time dogs get their time to shine.

State senator Anthony Bucco wants to designate a dog for New Jersey.  One of the main contenders is the Seeing Eye dog. Yes, it's not a specific breed, but we guess that is what makes them so special. They could be a German Shepard, golden retriever, Labrador retrievers, etc..

These special dogs are trained in Morristown and then are matched with an owner who is visually impaired. In the 90 years that the Morristown Seeing Eye dog training center has been open it has provided 17,000 service animals.

We don't know about you, but we think that these dogs would be a great addition to the long list of New Jersey's state animals.
