Newtown’s 19th Annual Welcome Day to take Place Next Month

Something I think ties communities together are street fairs and events where an entire family can go and spend the day making memories. Every year for 19 years, Newtown has had a Welcome day that draws in thousands of people! This year, Their Welcome Day will be held on May 5th on Sycamore Street from 11am- 4pm.

According to The Patch, there is going to be fun for the entire family. There will be performances by bands and dance companies, plus kids 7years old and older can compete in a competition called Newtown Idol. In addition to the entertainment, vendors will be lined up on Sycamore Street, there will be family games available as well as inflatables. Also, bring your appetite, the Newtown Business Association says there will be lots and lots of food!
