Something that is very big in this country right now is addiction and overdoses. Overdoses have been climbing higher and higher every year and the drugs that are causing these overdoses are getting easier and easier to get. There are many resources available for those who suffer from addiction, however, not everyone is able to get the help they need.

According to NJ.com, Stuart Goffman a New Jersey native, lost his best friend to alcoholism and it inspired him to do research and even launched his own production company. He eventually sold a reel to some people who could turn it into a tv show. He and his production company have traveled around the country to film people with addictions in hopes it'll make a difference in the lives of others.

Addiction Unplugged debuts Saturday on A&E and will run for five weeks. Check your local listings.
