Palace of Asia Opening New Location in Hamilton, NJ
If you miss Palace of Asia Lawrenceville you're going to love this news.
The popular restaurant is re-opening in a new local spot. Hamilton Township will be its new home, not far from its old location on Lawrence Square Boulevard, off of Quakerbridge Road.
It will be located in University Plaza on Flock Road. I went to get a bagel at one of my favorite bagel spots in the area, Caesar's Bagels and Deli, recently and was surprised to see the new sign.
About 4 months ago I told you that the Indian restaurant had closed its doors for good in Lawrenceville. There was an eviction notice on the door. I wasn't sure if the closure was a result of the pandemic.
At the time, the manager of the Kingston location simply said, "They had an issue with the lease and were forced to close down."
Whatever the case, it's rebounding.
No word on when the future location in University Plaza will open, but, I'll let you know as soon as I find out.
In the meantime, the Kingston location isn't too far away. The address is 4591 Route 27. You can check out the menu here. You can eat in or take out or have a private party there.
I know locals were very disappointed when the Lawrenceville location, so I'm sure this new location in Hamilton will receive a warm welcome.
Other Indian restaurants in the area include Singhs also in Hamilton, Jhopri in Plainsboro, A2B on Route 1 South also in Plainsboro and Cross Culture in the Princeton Shopping Center.
