Be on the lookout Jersey! Another major movie is being filmed in our area and the legendary Anne Hathaway is starring in it. Hathaway is no stranger to the garden state. Many residents have probably seen her a couple of times because she has starred in many movies that have been filmed here.

Did you know that we have something in common with Hathaway? The actress grew up in New Jersey. That's right. She's from Millburn if you couldn't already tell by her strong New Jersey accent. Her most recent movie in progress is called "Eileen." According to NJ.com, it is being filmed all over in different parts of New Jersey. The movie has been in production since the fall. However, if you live in The City of South Amboy, just know that Lagoda’s Saloon will be closed through Saturday for filming. According to NJ.com, parts of Broadway in the city will be shut down as well. So make sure you plan accordingly.

Anything that Anne Hathaway is in automatically has my attention. But I love the plot of "Eileen." Apparently, the story centers around a woman working in a boys' prison near Boston. Somehow she gets wrapped up in a weird crime herself. The movie is based on Ottessa Moshfegh’s novel of the same name.

So be on the lookout. You might just see the Academy Award winner grabbing coffee around town one day.
