In December, we posted a story about a penthouse in Center City Philadelphia that had set a record for the most expensive residential property in the city.

According to the Philadelphia Business Journal, the $25 million asking price for that property has just been eclipsed by a Center City penthouse that is being listed for a staggering $35 million.

The record-setting property is the penthouse unit in a building called 500 Walnut.  Phillyvoice.com says that when the property originally sold for just over $17 million in 2016, rumors swirled that Jay-Z and Beyonce' were considering it.

By the way, there is some discrepancy regarding the price of the penthouse.  The Philadelphia Business Journal says the asking price is $35 million, while Phillyvoice.com and CBSPhilly say the price is $32 million.  Either way, the price is record-setting.
