Pet Valu in the Lawrence Shopping Center is closing for good. According to the Lawrence Township, NJ Community Facebook page, the last day of business will be sometime around September 15th. Sales are going on now.

Residents expressed disbelief, saying how much they loved the store, but, the post says that it didn't do enough business and they were having trouble keeping the staff. Many of the comments said that they wished they could have held on a little longer, because the opening of a new Lidl grocery store would definitely bring more foot traffic to the lagging shopping center.

There's also promise of an new Auto Zone, LA Fitness, and the Township Manager, Kevin Nerwinski, even said there was some "chatter" of a Starbucks opening where the old Wells Fargo Center Bank was. What???  Wow. That, I'm sure, would be well received.

The sign in the store window directs you to other area locations for your pet needs....Plainsboro, East Windsor, and Bordentown.
