Overnight Lane Closures Planned on Route 1 In Bucks County Thursday
Starting tonight you will probably run into more traffic than usual on Route 1 in the Bucks County area.
Westbound Pennsylvania Turnpike (I-276) motorists will encounter a right lane closure at the U.S. 1 Interchange in Bensalem Township, Bucks County from 10:00 PM Thursday, January 30, to 4:00 AM Friday, January 31, for repairs to the U.S. 1 overpass, according to PennDOT.
All commuters are advised that this road work is weather permitting.
Be aware of all backups and slowdowns when getting close to the road work area.
It was also mentioned on PennDot.gov that these projects are all a part of a corridor improvement project and to widen Route 1.
Some bridges on Route 1 will also be replaced. With additional safety enhancements planned in a four-mile section of the Expressway -- just north of Philadelphia to just north of Route 413 (Pine Street) in Middletown Township and Langhorne Borough.
