Sean “Diddy” Combs Acquitted of Sex Trafficking, Found Guilty on Lesser Charges
Sean "Diddy" Combs was found not guilty of the most serious charges he was in his months long legal sex trafficking case.
After weeks of high profile trial captivating America, a verdict was reached after only a few days of deliberations by the jury. The news was announced just after 10 a.m. on Monday. If he was convicted on all charges, Combs could have faced up to life in prison if he was convicted of all counts.
Combs was convicted on a prostitution-related offense but acquitted on the most serious charges at his New York trial on Wednesday.

He was found not guilty on the serious racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking charges. Those charges were related to allegations that he used his money, power and frightening physical force to manipulate his girlfriends into hundreds of drug-fueled sex marathons with the men. During the case, Combs and his defense team argued that the women were willing participants and that none of his violence justified the severity of the charges.
Combs was, however, convicted of transporting people across state lines for the purpose of engaging in prostitution, including his girlfriends and paid male sex workers, to engage in sexual encounters, a felony violation of the federal Mann Act.
With these charges, Diddy could still face prison for up to a decade for each charge.
The foreperson confirmed the verdict reached was unanimous. After they read the verdict, Combs held his hands up in a prayer motion, looking at jury and hugged his defense lawyer Teny Geragos.
