The Shoppes at Hamilton, on Route 130 North, will be torn down to make way for a warehouse, pending township approval, according to Community News.

The article states that Metrix Real Estate Services (the owner since 2019) is looking to level the site and build a 170,000-square-foot warehouse in its place. The only two things that will remain after the tear down will be Berkshire Bank and Hamilton Tap and Grill. Phew. I'm sure many locals are breathing a sigh of relief. I've been there a few times. They have a great Happy Hour.

The Shoppes at Hamilton seemed to be struggling over the years, with hardly any cars ever there. I shopped at a few stores, but, they were never crowded. The difficult traffic pattern proved challenging. There wasn't an easy flow in and out.

Metrix has helped the remaining businesses find new locations, and hope for the center to be empty by May.
