Technology will never stop evolving which is actually a great thing because it can help us in many different ways. It's been very unfortunate that we've had many horrifying moments in the U.S. Many people have even asked, "With so much technology why can’t we track down someone when they are in need of help or in danger?" Well, Apple will soon release an iOS 12 update that will give the exact location to the 911 operator when it is dialed. No, it will not be a radius location. This update will share the exact GPS location as soon as the call is answer by the operator.

This great update is currently being tested by Prince University’s Department of Public Safety. Infrastructure operations manager, Keller Taylor, shared with NJTV, "It allows us to be able to quickly and accurately identify where they are and we’re able to get resources moving their direction immediately, instead of waiting for them to describe where they’re at,”

Being asked by the operator where you are located or trying to track you down through cellular towers can take a while. With this new update that iOS 12 will have can save many more lives because first responders can be on their way to help as soon as the call is answered. Taylor also mentioned, "We can actually zoom in and within the building we can identify if they’re at the front of the building or in the middle of the building.”
