Trenton Thunder’s Season Is Delayed Due to the Coronavirus
Yesterday, the NBA announced that it was suspending its season. Today, the NCAA canceled March Madness and Major League Baseball announced that the start of its season would be delayed.
MLB's announced prompted Minor League Baseball to also delay the start of their season.
Minor League Baseball's
announcement means that the Trenton Thunder's 2020 season will not start as planned on April 9.
The team has not announced plans on how ticket purchases and/or refunds will be handled.
The Thunder are the AA affiliate of the New York Yankees. In 2019, the team won the Eastern League title. According to the Thunder's website, it was the 4th title in franchise history.
