It’s no secret that Wawa’s Welcome America Festival is one of the biggest festivals in Philadelphia during the year. The festival is held on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, on the 4th of July, and is completely free to the public. There are tons of highlights during this Festival, which is a week-long, but the part everyone raves about is the concert.

I’m sure by now most people know this, but the festival will not happen in person this year due to COVID-19. Instead, it will be held virtually for the entire country to enjoy!

This festival typically comes big names such as Beyonce, Jennifer Hudson, Ed Sheeran, and Nicki Minaj. It would only be right to have someone JUST as big. Well, fans are being a little let down this year. There is nothing wrong with the artists of course, but they are not as big as the others have been. According to phillyvoice, this year's headliners will be Jason Derulo, Cynthia Erivo, and The Philadelphia Jazz Orchestra.

As mentioned before, there are tons of highlights such as free museum day and free hoagie day! But again, things are a little different this year. Instead of everyone getting free sandwiches, all Wawa stores will be donating sandwiches to local organizations within each community. The free museum day will be held virtually as well. You can find the full schedule of Wawa Welcome America here.
