Wyclef Jean And VH1 Donate $50,000 To A Philly School
It was a lucky day for South Philadelphia High School. Wyclef Jean thought that February 13th would be a great day to donate $50,000 to a high school in South Philly.
VH1 Save The Music Foundation has helped thousands of schools and millions of students throughout the country by starting music programs for them. This time around VH1 Save The Music foundation teamed up with rapper/actor Wyclef to keep the music spirit high in South Philly.
The Haitian rapper took time out of his day to made sure he could be with the students from South Philly High. Wyclef mentioned in a tweet that he and VH1 Save The Music were "teaching the youth about some fundamentals of music."
The high school in need of a helping hand received instruments and other music technologies, according to PhillyVoice.com.
