Here's a story that almost sounds too good to be true, but it's for real. According to patch.com, next Saturday (June 27), Alert Medical Alarms will be giving away $20,000 worth of gift cards that can be used at local Doylestown businesses.

Patch.com says that Alert Medical Alarms is a family-owned company located in Doylestown and its CEO, Noah Gifford, created an idea to help support local businesses. Gifford's company purchased $20,000 in gift cards from local establishments and will be giving them away next Saturday from 1-3pm at 54 E. State Street.

A post on Salt Cave spa's Facebook page says gift cards will be given away to local businesses in the following categories: Beauty, Health & Wellness, Recreational, Retail/Clothing, and Restaurants.

Some of the notable restaurants included in the giveaway are Quinoi, Heirloom, Lobster Claw, and Luhv Vegan Bistro.

According to the company's website, Alert Medical Alarms is "a family owned and operated company with over 25 years of experience in the healthcare field." The company provides devices and support for health monitoring systems.

Patch.com says that Alert Medical Systems was able to operate during the shutdown created by the COVID-19 pandemic and that Gifford wanted to help out neighboring businesses that could not do the same.

So how will the gift cards be given away? According to patch.com, "anyone in need can ...pick up a gift card. It will be judgment-free with no questions asked."
