Looking for something new to do in Philly this weekend with a tropical twist? The islands are coming to Philly with the 33rd Annual Caribbean Festival this Sunday.

14 different countries will be represented for a day of family fun. The event is free and runs from 12 noon until 8pm. For more info on the event and for a list of all the countries participating visit https://phillycaribbeanfestival.com/festival-details/participating-countries/.

There will be live reggae music, as well as root international beat, hip-hop and gospel music. Caribbean fashion will be sold along with souvenirs, arts and crafts. For the kids, there will be a children’s corner with an African and Caribbean village enactment and maypole dancing.

If you come to the festival just for the food, Penn’s Landing will have plenty of vendors selling food from rice and bean, to curried goat and chicken to even the Caribbean’s most famous dish Jerk Chicken.

So, if you’re down for some island time, grab your friends and family and head down to Philly for a Sunday of fun from all different countries in the Caribbean.
