Bowen's Barber Shop in Newtown, PA gave 5 high school students a very special makeover just in time before their prom on April 26th.

These five boys, who are part of the IU Hope Transition Program, have autism or other special needs.

The barber shop worked directly with the Bucks County Intermediate Unit to make this all possible.

Tracey Bowen, owner of Bowen's Barber Shop said "It is so rewarding to be able to positively impact someone's life with a haircut." (via patch.com)

The boys got haircuts and fresh styles and shaves to prepare for their big night.

This experience gave the boys the opportunity to communicate one-on-one with the barber and learn how the hair cut experience works. Having this experience came at the perfect time, as they are emerging into the adult world and will use these life skills in their future.

It's really sweet that these boys got pampered and prepped before their special night. Certainly well deserved!
