Another beloved movie theater is closing its doors for good. Just a couple of weeks ago, Rialto Theater in Westfield abruptly closed down, according to a report from NJ.com Now a theater in Cranford is closing as well, NJ.com reports. 

Both movie theaters are owned by New Vision Management, and it has not been confirmed exactly why these locations closed down. The theater’s website said it was closed and tickers are no longer available for purchase through Fandango.

“New Vision Management could neither confirm nor deny that the theater is remaining open after [Wednesday night] and they were not ready to make a statement regarding its future,” Mayor Patrick Giblin said in a Facebook post.

There can be no phone calls made to the theater as well. The only response is an automated voice messaging system stating that the mailbox is full. No one knows the future for the location or what is to come, according to NJ.com. However, the property hopes to keep the space as a movie theater they say. would like to keep it as a theater.
