The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) caused a stir earlier this week when they posted a tweet of a picture of a large "creature" that was captured by a DOT webcam.

The WSDOT said the "creature" could be Sasquatch.

This new Sasquatch (aka Bigfoot) sighting got me wondering if the elusive creature had ever been spotted in New Jersey.

According to the Bigfoot Field Researchers Association (BFRA), there have been over 70 reported Bigfoot sighting in New Jersey since 1952.  Sussex County has had the most sightings (17), although Burlington County isn't far behind with 14 sightings.

In fact, the most recent sighting to the BFRA occurred near Chatsworth on June 20, 2019.  You can read the report here.  (Coincidentally, the first reported Bigfoot sighting in New Jersey was also near Chatsworth.)

So what do you think?  Does Bigfoot exist and if so, could he reside in New Jersey?  Leave you comments below.
