Bordentown High School’s Julia Reichert Takes Home An Oscar
If you are a Bordentown Regional High School alumn or still attending the high school you have to be proud of Julia Reichert. According to BurlingtonCountyTimes.com, Reichert graduated from Bordentown Regional High School in 1964 and now she is an Academy Award winner.
Julia Reichert took home the Best Documentary Feature Academy Award for the film "American Factory."
Burlington County Times reported that Reichert co-directed and produced "American Factory.” This the first film that 'Higher Ground' releases. Higher Ground is Barack and Michelle Obama’s production company.
This may be news to you as it was news to us but did you know Bordentown Regional High School has a Hall of Fame page? According to BurlingtonCountyTimes.com, Julia Reichert is part of the Bordentown district hall of fame. It was also mentioned that she is "dedicated to building the independent film community regionally and nationally.”
Reichert has previously been nominated for an Academy Award but this is the first time she has won.
