In the week after Governor Phil Murphy announced that malls could reopen effective June 29, each location has been undergoing preparations to be ready for the big day.

The Freehold Raceway Mall unveiled their plans today which will feature more frequent and rigorous cleaning measures and sanitizing protocols in place particularly on areas that are touched quite often such as doors to make sure everyone is safe and healthy.

You'll see some more signs and other safeguards in place as well as officials want to assure continued, appropriate social distancing and other precautionary measures.

“We are looking forward to seeing our retail partners and welcoming local shoppers back to Freehold Raceway Mall,” Frank Lucia, Senior Property Manager, Freehold Raceway Mall, said. “More than ever, people are ready to safely get back to the places and activities they’ve been missing and we are excited to be a big part of this. All of us are committed to ensuring our property can get back to making major contributions to our local economy through jobs, sales taxes and more.”

However, Lucia said that not all stores and restaurants will be open as of Monday, so you're asked to keep an eye on their website for full information and list of retail and restaurants that are open, in accordance with government orders.

Whether it's the Freehold Raceway Mall or any other mall, everyone will be required to wear masks, unless it's medically necessary to not wear one.

Every store will be limited to 50% capacity and social distancing among shoppers will be encouraged.
