The Hamilton Irish Festival is October 5th at the Hibernian Club on Kuser Road in Hamilton Township (Mercer County).

Am I the only one who saw the lawn signs all over Hamilton and wondered what the heck this was? Well, I'm apparently out of the loop (maybe because I'm not Irish) because the website says it's the area's longest running Irish Festival.

It looks like a lot of fun. There will be food vendors, drinks (alcoholic and non alcoholic) for sale, free pumpkin decorating for the first 75 kids, free face painting, a petting zoo, and other stuff for the kids.

There will be live music from 1-9pm from an award winning Pipe and Drum band, and Irish bands  Also, performances by Irish dance school, Rince O Chroi.

Admission is just $5 for adults and kids under 15 are free, when with an adult.

I'd bring a little extra money for the 50/50 too. It's a big one. Last year's winner took home $7,000. Wow.

Bring your chairs and blankets, relax and enjoy a day of Irish fun.
