Martel's Christmas Wonderland is officially the area's favorite Christmas light display. Congratulations to the Martel family on their victory on my poll this year with nearly 60% of the total vote. Last year they narrowly lost to the Burlington Light Display, but I am happy that they won this year.

Congratulations to all!

ORIGINAL POST BELOW:

When it comes to decorating your house for Christmas there are those who get into it, and then there are those who get REALLY into it. We are lucky enough to live in an area where there are a few families that get REALLY into it, and they attract thousands of people each year to get a glimpse.

I created a poll on WPST.com last year, and Burlington Lights in Burlington Township won the voting contest. Can they keep the title of Best Local Lights again this year or will it go to another house? We'll see.

So once again, I'm asking you to decide between Martel's Christmas House, the Burlington Lights, and Deer Road (in Cherry Hill). Let me know where you and your family like to go.

This is all meant in good fun, of course, as it is just for bragging rights. But let's review your choices:

Martel's Christmas Wonderland has been famous for years, and it was even featured in Weird New Jersey. Back in 2015, the Asbury Park Press reported that Bob Martel and his family packed their yard with more than 2,000 Christmas figures. Having been in recent years, I think they've added even more since then. It's breathtaking and so much fun.

Burlington Lights

Then I love the famous "Burlington Lights," which are located at the Corner of Steeplechase Blvd and Tack Way, in Burlington Township, NJ.

This year's display (which runs nightly) features a differently night soundtrack. When you arrive, you'll be able to see the house light up to a choreographed display set to music. In fact, you go different nights of the week, you will actually see a different "show" as the lights are choreographed for a TON of songs. The songs featured in the display include pop classics like "Last Christmas," "All I want for Christmas is You," and iconic tracks like "Deck the Halls," and "Silent Night."

Since 2012 they have raised more than $16,000 for the Burlington Township Food Pantry.

Their website gives their schedule, Santa appearance schedule, and more.

Deer Road in Cherry Hill

Last, but certainly not least is Deer Road in Cherry Hill, NJ. Wow, check out this video from the Courier-Post:

This one is extra cool because the neighbors come together to make their decorations an annual tradition. It's an entire cul-de-sac filled with awesome displays. Like every house on the block is COVERED in lights and every lawn is COVERED in awesome inflatable figures.

In fact, visitors come by the trolley load to see the lights, as you can see in the video above.

Who will win? I can't wait to find out!
