If your kids have a need for speed, then here's a cool event for them this spring!

The iRun4Life Kids-Only 3K Race is returning to Doylestown Sunday May 15th at Doylestown Central Park. This is a non-competitive running event for elementary-aged kids from kindergarten to 6th grade. After a two-year hiatus following the pandemic, this will be an exciting event for kids to get back out there and get active!

Founded in 2008, IRun4Life is a non-profit after-school program that encourages kids to make healthy habits of staying active as a means to combat childhood obesity. Their goal is to "teach children about exercise, healthy nutrition and giving back to the community." The program also aims to benefit kids by helping to build their confidence, elf-esteem, resilience and endurance.

This 11th 3K event is open to all kids in the program, including children from elementary schools in Central Bucks, Council Rock, Abington, New Hope-Solebury, Pennsbury and more. But the event is also open to the public!

The race will begin at 9:00 am, rain or shine, and will feature chip timing, raffle baskets, swag bags, free t-shirts, food & games, music by the Keith & Joey band, and finisher medals. The kids will get that real-life marathon experience!

Registration is open now, and adults can also sign-up to volunteer HERE. Prior to the event, there will be a volunteer meeting on May 12 at the Central Park Pavilion.

Even if your kid doesn't make it to this particular race, iRun4Life sounds like a wonderful program to consider getting your kids involved with!

What a cool way to keep our kids healthy and active while having fun!
