“Love Makes You Do Crazy Things,” Bucks County Man Says As He Was Breaking Into Ex-Girlfriend’s Home As He Arrested For Entering Home of Ex-Girlfriend
"Love will make you do crazy things," that's what a 23-year-old Bucks County man told police, as he was arrested for attempting to break into the home of his ex-girlfriend, just hours after they split up.
The Pennsylvania State Police announced the arrest of Alexander Nathanael Nicholas (of Middletown) when they were called to a home on Ford Avenue in Hulmeville around 1:45 am on Wednesday, September 11.
Police say that Nicholas' ex-girlfriend reported that Alexander was attempting to get into her home where he was not welcome, LevittownNow.com reported. They say that court documents show that the woman was hiding on the second floor of her home.
State troopers arrived to find that Nicholas was outside of residence next to a broken window, LevittownNow.com reports. They say that he admitted to using a rock to break the window.
But it's what Nicholas told troopers about the crime that caught our attention. When explaining the crime, he said:
“This is what happens when you don’t think. Love will make you do crazy things.”
Of course, all criminals are innocent until proven guilty, but we agree... love has made us all do crazy things.
